About Sarah

Sarah Platt-Finger is the Director of Chopra Yoga at IIN and the co-founder of ISHTA Yoga, LLC. Recognized by Deepak Chopra as “an extraordinary teacher of yoga that has contributed enormously to my well-being,” Sarah is a guiding force in the global yoga community. She co-authored the book Living in the Light: Yoga for Self-Realization with Dr. Chopra, offering a comprehensive pathway to personal growth, fulfillment, and expanded consciousness.

Sarah received her 500-hour yoga certification in the ISHTA lineage in 2004 and was later initiated as a Yoga Master by her husband and mentor, Kavi Yogiraj Alan Finger, in 2013. Since then, she has dedicated her life to sharing the authentic wisdom of yoga with the world. Sarah played a pivotal role in developing one of New York City's most prestigious yoga teacher training programs, which has expanded internationally to London, Sweden, Germany, Japan, and Australia. Most recently, she created the Chopra Yoga 200-hour Online Teacher Training course, accredited by Yoga Alliance and available in up to 85 countries.

In addition to her international teaching, Sarah continues to lead weekly yoga classes both online and in person, inspiring her students to connect deeply with themselves. As a founding member of Exhale to Inhale, a non-profit organization offering trauma-informed yoga, Sarah's teaching emphasizes healing, transformation, and self-empowerment. She believes that yoga is more than a practice on the mat—it is a microcosm of the reality we create in our daily lives. Through a deepened awareness of our physical, mental, and emotional patterns, she guides students toward reconnecting with the essence of their being.
